Julie Peeters

Julie Peeters (°1983) is a Belgian graphic designer based in Brussels. She studied at Sint Lucas Ghent, Jan van Eyck Academie and Werkplaats Typografie in the Netherlands. Since 2005 she has been running her own practice. She worked on several projects and publications for clients such as Z33, Hasselt; De Ateliers, Amsterdam; Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam; De Appel, Amsterdam; Contour 5th Biennial for Moving Image, Mechelen. Currently she designs the graphic identities of Beursschouwburg, Brussels (i.c.w. Joris Kritis); Artspeak, Vancouver (i.c.w. Scott Ponik) and Kunstverein München.

She is particularly interested in the printed image and often collaborates with artists on printed matter. Her work has been shown in exhibitions in South Korea, Czech Republic, France and Belgium. In 2015 she was awarded the Goldene Letter award in Leipzig. She teaches graphic design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam and KASK, Ghent.
